Graven Images Oracle Reading

Card #1: Root of the Question
Wreath (Divine #9)

The wreath is a symbol of eternity and completeness. When displayed on a pole or column, it is usually a wreath of victory for a fete or accomplishment. But unlike its lighter side, Window, the background of the wreath is solid, allowing no view of what lies beyond. The wreath is static. You have made strides. There has been progress and fortunate beginnings. But now you cannot see past what has been done to the work still required. Rather than a marker of a job well done in a series of steps, it becomes a dead end. The advice is to let past glory be in the past and continue forward before momentum is lost and past accomplishments become meaningless. Stop resting on your laurels.

Card #2: Immediate Past
Willow (Physical #10)

Black magic. Forces in motion working against you or the situation. There is genuine danger here, jealousy deceit and very powerful detractors. Such forces are not easily defeated or overcome. The Willow, although cut back repeatedly, will constantly grow back. Extreme caution is recommended, as unseen enemies are at large. Protect your investments, your position, and yourself. Be careful who you trust.

Card #3: Immediate Future
Traveler (Mental #4)

Traveler means going forth to find the missing pieces. Much has been accomplished, but there are important gaps in what you have built. What you require is 'out there,' but you must seek for it, even journeying physically if need be to complete what you have started. The effort will bear fruit, and be well worth it.

Card #4: Outside Forces
Spirit (Mental #6)

There is a need here for healthy egotism, a call to remember who you are even if no one else does. The situation may require the self-awareness to be anonymous. Your work may need to stand on its own merit, without the support of your personality or reputation. This can also be art for art's sake, the power behind the throne, or largess without expecting acknowledgement, or charity without fanfare.

Card #5: Hopes and Fears.
Ivy (Mental #8)

The subject of the reading or the questioner is desperately clinging for survival. There is a fear of independence at work. By sinking roots in borrowed soil, others in the situation are being weakened. Ivy, while it grabs on for support, eventually destroys its host. Tiny roots can break apart even the strongest stone and mortar. Blunt honesty is required from those being so compromised. They need to stand apart from those who cling, although this should be done with compassion. If you are the one who is using others as a crutch, it's time to be brave and innovative, to risk failure, or success.

Card #6: Final Outcome
Heart (Emotion #2)

This is a card of passion and love. Marriage and lifelong relationships are possible at this time as well as deep and abiding bonds between a variety of people. Beyond romance and friendship, this card can also be a signal to approach you work, art or circumstances with passion. Believe in yourself, your partners, and what you can achieve. Let your light shine and embrace the light of others.
